how can i increase my memory? i have horrible spatial capacity...i'm bad with detail retention...the only thing i'm good at is short term number memory. i'm not good with anything long term...any help? diet, mental exercies, alternate theories, anything? thanks.
all suggestions will be considered.

Practice! If you learn how to use mnemonic devices (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mnemonic_device) you can DRASTICALLY increase your memory. As silly as it sounds, if you spend a little time each day practicing, you can really improve your memory over a few weeks.

Most people are able to remember 7 numbers, letters, etc at any given time. With practice and mnemonic devices a particular student (this is well documented in Psychology of Learning textbooks) increased his short term memory to 80+ characters.

remembering my good previous training days, i consume various boiled eggs for protein, the day i'm taking attempt to maintain my memory skill working over the years. it quite is needless to say, when I learn and just about memorize each and every of the formula and a few considerable subject it quite is unquestionably important. some says, pork and legumes or green leafy vegetables.. yet i know this is going to pay off..

Ii tried this and it worked..
drink a cup of hot water (as hot as if u're drinking your tea) first thing in the morning.. and last thing before u go tp bed.
it worked like magic :)

mental exercises , get some puzzle books , there are some mensa endorsed ones if your keen . the brain is like anything else in your body , it benefits from a challenge

well i also have a memory problem so i play memory games like ; snap, Solitare trivial persuite, soduko ect. well good luck with that ! and Merry Christmas! love annie xoxox

WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO IS SELF-TRAIN.TAKE A PHRASE OR A SENTENCE EVEN AND FIRST WRITE IT DOWN 21 TIMES 7 TIMES REPEADILY. LEARN TO SAY THINGS OVER AND OVER AGAIN UNTIL IT IS YOUR HEAD. OTHER THAN THAT YOU ARE DOING TO MANY THINGS AT ONCE. CHALLENGE YOURSELF
