You make some good point.. But Answers is two more doors down..If people want to open those doors and let him into there heart to know the Lord then they will do that on there own time..

I have more of a reason not to believe in God then horses. Some Atheists don't search out answers but most do. Many Christians have a week understanding of there own theology. Some people ask things on yahoo without trying to find the answerer online or in a book. Honestly, your Generalizing to much.

While transcription mistakes show that the Bible is not inerrant as often claimed, those mistakes are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to finding things wrong with the Bible. It commands the killing of disobedient children, women who are not virgins when they marry, people who have different religious beliefs, gays, and many more! How much more bloodthirsty and brutal can a God be before people question whether violence = love?
Also, all the stuff about talking snakes and donkeys, the universe being made in 6 days, Adam being made out of clay, Eve being made out of a rib? People taken into the clouds in fiery chariots? People coming back from the dead and flying into the sky? You are correct that transcription errors are the least of the Bible's problems.

Could you generalize a little more?
A lot of atheists really do search for answers, but when they can't find them, why not ask others if they know the answers? Isn't that what Y!A is all about? Why shouldn't they ask the people who claim to have all the answers? Why shouldn't people debate about and discuss things that have no known answers? And mind you, some theists settle for answers such as "God did it", "because the holy book says so" or other simple answers while atheists generally want more substantial answers.

Why do other people invent answers when none exist?
Take your question for example. You seem to assume that God exists unless atheists can prove otherwise. Can we not say the same for other religions? Have you taken the time to explore whether Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva does not exists?
Do yourself a favor and actually start asking questions. The unexamined life is not worth living.

We, the atheists of the world, choose not to participate in the national religions, whatever they might be. If there was one shred of proof, one confirmed sighting of a Deity, then perhaps we would reconsider our beliefs. After all, they don't call it Blind Faith, without reason. We choose not to be blind, not to willingly suspend our disbelief, without good cause. Voltaire said, "If God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent him" and, invent him, you did. Getting bogged down in trivial details serves no purpose, but I though you deserved an answer, so now, you have mine.

I don't think that's their issue. It's basic things like bats being birds, rabbits having cuds, and getting dozens of things wrong about the resurrection of Jesus. It's not a minor typo - it's dozens of things about the most important event in christianity.

Why do Christians search out questions yet don't take the time to find the answers?

It's not all that common for a textbook to advocate murder, and for people to believe the textbook must be followed blindly because it's perfect.

I did take the time to find the answers, but I didn't find any answers in the Bible that made sense.
