That my date shows up!!!! When they show up, on time, with flowers, and have already chosen a suitable resturant for dinner, and also something fun for us to to afterwards. So long as he is well dressed, well manicured, and smells great, we're off to a good start. Also must be smarter & more motivated than a pet rock.

Pet rocks were a trend in the 1970s. They were just fad items, rocks that people would pretend were pets. Sometimes they were even painted or carved to look like real animals. If somebody says she wants someone with more intelligence than a pet rock, she means that she wants someone who is not stupid enough to be mistaken for something which has no brain activity.

A pet rock was a brilliant money maker for someone back in the 1970s. This guy took just ordinary rocks and placed each one in it's own box and sold them to people as "pets" the gimmick was that they were easier to take care of than fish. It proved to be quite a trendy gift at parties.

No way! They are boring and DON'T DO ANYTHING. Seriously, why would you want a pet rock? Just my opinion though. If you want a pet rock, get one. It's not that weird and if nobody had them, then they wouldn't sell them, right? But personally I don't like them. They just seem so pointless.

Ya, it was just a round flat rock..that was sold in stores..believe
it or not ! It came in a little cardboard "house" I think. That was
like 30 yrs ago ...omg....ugh. Just get a Chia Pet,..at least they grow.
