can a folder in hard disk be locked by password? If yes, How?

try downloading a program that will helps you to lock your folders like folder locker and you can use it to lock your hard disk......Is it a portable hard disk or integrated one....

yes there are programs that can acoplish that but if u want to deny someone wrights to the folder u would use the windows xp security settings but that is only on the pro addition

there are many software to protect folder and file. One of them i have if u want u mail me your emailid to deven_rajput@yahoo.co.in i send u a register software to ur id (this software very easy to handle)

Creat ur profile in windows xp and give password to it for logon and encrypt it. store ur files at desktop. nobody can touch it
