Most of the scriptures point to the birth being in march or april. The whole celebrating his birth on the 25th of December was an invention by the church becuase they wanted to get several pagan tribes to join christianity, and one of the terms for joining was having a winter solstice.

Historian Ernest L. Martin consulted NASA lunar-phase tables and found the image of the heavens in Revelation 12 showed where the sun and the moon were, relative to Virgo, at the time Jesus was born, pin-pointing sunset of September 11th of 3 BC. It seems the moon moves so quickly it is "beneath the feet" of Virgo only a few hours every month. Moreover, the moon comes
within two lunar diameters of Virgo's feet at the time of a new moon but once in 30 years.

The only such occurance any time near the birth of Jesus was on September 11th, 3 BC.

There is another theory stating the date as September 29th, 5 BC but very difficult to say which one is true!

Actually the original scriptures do not say. But it has clues especially since the shepards were in the fields overnight with the herd and they wouldn't do that in the middle of winter risking the lives of themselves or their herd. If you look at the location of Bethlehem on the map with the equator they would experience a winter, so that rules out any winter months being Jesus birth month.

Several different religions have April 6, as his birth. This would coincide with the "shepherds out with their flocks by night" (not Dec) and the census/taxes being done. Remember, Jesus was Nazarene, but born in the capital Bethlehem, because of the decree for a census.
