The next time you go to the doctor, bring him with you. Or buy him "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex, But Were Afraid to Ask." (The book, not the movie) Not all virgins bleed. Where did this guy learn about sex? In the sixth grade boys room, while he was learning to smoke? I'm so sorry, Sweetheart. I can only imagine how this special time was ruined by a young man's ignorance. If you want to keep him, then you gotta teach him.

Oh, and he didn't lose your virginity. You did. He took it.

Some girls bleed the first time they have vaginal intercourse, and others don't. If a girl doesn't have much of a hymen, she probably won't bleed the first time she has vaginal intercourse.

Having a hymen isn't the same thing as being a virgin. The hymen is a thin, fleshy tissue that stretches across part of the opening of the vagina. Some girls have so little hymenal tissue they appear to have no hymen. Others have so much hymenal tissue that first intercourse may be painful and there may be bleeding as they hymenal tissue is stretched open.

There are also other ways that a woman's hymen may be stretched open. These include using tampons, insertive masturbation, riding a bicycle, or doing gymnastics.

Most people agree that a virgin is someone who's never had intercourse. Just because a girl doesn't have a hymen, or doesn't bleed the first time she has sex, doesn't mean she's not a virgin.

There is no way you can PROVE that. (Even if you'd saturated the bed with blood.)

Trust is the keyword here. Does your husband mistrust you so much that he disbelieves you over this very fundamental claim?

Admittedly there are not many people these days who are virgins when they marry, men or women, so perhaps it is society to blame for his mistrust. You are to be commended for your own patience and resolve in waiting until you were married. The only thing to do is to continue with your faithful and loving ways until he accepts your condition at marriage.

On a medical note bleeding often does not occur when the hymen is broken and when it does it is usually light anyway. The hymen can be broken without sex by a variety of athletic activities, so even if you had not bled at all your husband has no reason to doubt your virginal state.

I hope things settle and you remain happily married for ever.

Cheers,

I feel bad for you that your husband does trust you enough to believe he took your virginity. It's very common for a woman to not bleed the first time she has sex, especially since the advent of the tampon. Ha, why don't you try making him prove that he was a virgin? If you already know he wasn't, then he really has no place asking you to prove it.

your hymen could have broke while you were
Jogging
running
jummping
exerciseing
you dont have to bleed badly or even a little that could have broke when you were a kid from the above alls that matters is you know but i can understand that hurting you by the trust thing
every guy will do it some way or another to try and make you feel guilty for something you havent done. lol like not putting pepper on his mashed potatos lol and getting him that glass of water...lol your not alone every man is that way!

You definitley should not have to prove to your husband, he should believe in you and trust what you say, if he carrys on disbelieving you then it is so obvious your husband has no trust in him, he needs to buck up his ideas, after all you are the woman he must love as he married you.
Not every woman bleeds when they lose there viginity and that is a well known fact of life.

Hey I'm a guy and I know how your husband feels. I also know how to fix this issue but it involves some luck.

How computer savvy is your hubby? Try to get him to accidentally stumble upon this question. NEVER let him find out you wanted him to read it. Act surprised, etc, you know the drill. Trust me it'll work. Just tell me if you're willing and I'll delete this answer so he doesn't see it.

The psychology in his mind will be this: "My wife posted this question but tried to hide it from me. It really looks like she's telling the truth"

Trust me on this one. I'm a guy so I know exactly what he is thinking. We guys are way more mentally and emotionally complicated than we like to reveal.

It's a complete myth that women always bleed after the first time they have sex. If your husband doesn't trust you then you have serious issues in your relationship already.

You really can't. Why can't he just take your word for it? He should be more trusting of you.

Not all women bleed when they lose their virginity.

maybe because of sport, you don't even have to have sex to break your virginity. a lot of horse riders lose there just by horse rinding, gymnasts, because of their flexibility, and some who do lose it don't bleed. I guess it's just the way your body reacts to certain things.

Nicole, a relationship is never ever about proofs and feeling the pressure to prove anything, it's about trust.
