Does it hurt? How long does the pain go away? How does it affect the way you talk everything about piercing your tounge.

I've been told they are very painful. Especially when the hole gets infected. Then your tongue gets all these puss filled sores and swells up really large and you have trouble even eating. A few people have even had to have surgury to remove part of their tongue because of this. They really have trouble talking after that. Imagine the fun of trying to get a job when you can barely talk to the person doing the job interview!
