OK,
My little brother is 15 years old and we used to be really close. The past few years he has started treating me like junk(literaly). It seems like he doesn't care about me and he is always insulting me. If I say something like "ewww" or "gross" he says quite looking in the mirror. I try so hard to get on his good side but he just insults me even more. we are only a few years apart.

i have two brothers....let me tell ya this was a back to back phase which is still around now...they are 22and 24 now but when they were 15 and 16 omg....it some sorta king of the hill alpha male syndrome they go through were they are trying to create some sort of rank for themselves...dont take what he says too seriously...you are an easy target because you are his sister and he knows no matter what you will love him regardless...so laugh it off...because when studly do no wrong messes up..he will have his sister there to help him...but point and laugh on occasion that is fun too...

I think 15/16 is the age for that kind of stuff. I was nasty as all get out to my younger sister at that age. Really, my parents should have put me in couseling, or juvie, the number of times I threatened her with a knife. Thank God I wised up about halfway through 16 and realized what a great person she is. You should be glad all your brother does is stay stupid stuff to you. He could be like I was. He should grow out of it soon and then you'll be friends again.

this may seem like a tired reason, but it really sounds like one of those "phase" things - i mean he's 15 right? isn't that about the right time for a phase where 15-year-old boys get it into their heads that it's cool to be nasty / insensitive / insulting / whatever. specially to members of the opposit sex.

If you've got a reasonably normal life in all other respects, i think you should just leave him be. you're what, 16? 17? get into your friends or other relationships outside your family. he'll outgrow whatever his current self-impression is soon enough.

Your brother is growing up and having his own issues to deal with. He is gross because he is changing inside. Be patient They say blood is thicker than water. You will be close again.

you should talk to him, telling him not to say those things to you especially you are her sister, tell him that he should cherish that he has a sister.
