I want to get a tattoo on the inside of my wrist with a short latin phrase. However, I have light skin and would like to have my tat done in an ink color other than black. Is that possible? I was told that white looks good on your wrist.. I have heard lots of different things about that... help me out!

I have a hot pink star on the inside of my wrist, and I'm pretty pale.
Black isn't the only color.
Additional Info:
No, you don't have to have it outlined black. After they laid down the carbon design, they tattoo'd the inside with water and then scrubbed off the carbon, so they still had a line (my blood and redness) to work with. After everything was all healed, I have a lovely pink star, no black.

Pale colors and white are generally used for shading and tend to fade easily. Ask your tattoo artist what he/she recommends if you do not want it done in black ink. White probably wont show up on your skin very well no matter how fair your complexion is.

Be honest with yourself about how well you're going to care for your tattoo-I have some color on my back from my first tattoo, but I always forget to put sunblock on it, etc., and so the color has completely faded-now I stick to black!!! Although, I do have a turquoise star on my foot and the color there has stayed true. Avoid lighter colors if you really want to get color (yellows, pinks, etc.) and go for darker colors-they'll look fresher for longer and are not as prone to fading. Good luck!

well most places dont do white ink. that is usually only used to highlighs or lightening tatto.s i have looked into white ink tattoos mysefl and im really plae also. they do sometimes fade over tijme. and have a "yellowing effect" where they can look yellow. they have mny colors availabel. you can always get a shade darker than your skintone,. or maybe a light born color. or i hear pale violet is a great alternative to white tattoos.
good luck =)

You could go with black or dark colors, however i think some tattoo artist will mix up a custom color, not really sure but i think they can, because the guy that done my tattoo offered to mix up a color

most tattoo artists outline everything in black for the simple fact that it makes the color u choose stand out.. light skinned means u should go with brighter colors that will make them stand out.. but if u don't want yours outlined in black just talk to the tattoo artist and tell him what color u actually would like it in.. they will be more than happy to do it for u.. they may even be able to offer suggestions.. but just be aware that white will fade quite quickly and it won't show up well

If you have really light skin then i dont think you would want to go with white it would be hard to see I would go with a light color like pink or blue if your not into black and grey.
