Wax! When I had braces, they gave me these packs of wax to put on the pokey-outey parts of my braces that were cutting me. They came in little rows.....ask your doc, I'm sure they have some! If not, perhaps they can be found at the drug store.

you can buy some good wax that come in small pieces that you just stick onto the braces so it protects your skin and gums! some people dont like the feeling but they work really well and once you get used to them, your gums will thank you

Didn't you get some of that wax stuff with them? If you didn't I would go ask for some or see if they sell it at a drug store or walmart.

For right now though since you can't probably go get any of that wax stuff, I'd use wadded up piece of paper towel or napkin and stick it over the braces that are cutting into you.

Little peices of wax they give you. Other than that, I tried some pretty weird stuff to keep my braces off my cheeks when I was little. I put a plastic bag in my mouth over my braces... I was weird yes. Everyone says it goes away after awhile, but it didnt for me... so youll just have to wait it out. Use that waxy stuff, and if anything seems too pokey, have your ortho check it out.
