The first thing to do is to pick upone of the cats and just carry him/her by the dog and just let the dog sniff her/him.Then the next day after that just hold the cat on the groung by the dog just keep doing that if you do that and the dog starts to bark then just say NO! and walk away. Then the next day just keep doing that until they get to know each other.

That recently happened to me! I have a german sheperd and a 9 year old cat! I put both of them in my room and watched. The cat hissed for a minute and then let my dog sniff her! Then it was all good!

well it all depends on what the problem is, if the dog kills cats, probably not a good idea to ever put them together. if they drink all of your beer, well then that's another issue.....

if your dog is already over one year old then you're out of luck, coz if pups grow up with cats it's fine, they just think it's a way of life, so wont chase them at all!!( usually! )
