What is so wrong with it being there? It doesn't say the Christian God. It could be the Jewish God, the Hindu God, the Muslim God, the Native American God, the Pagan God, etc. The only people it offends are the Atheist. We don't burn them at the stakes for being Atheist, so they should just live and let live. When I was an Atheist I didn't get bent out of shape by it. I didn't feel that I had to convert everyone else to Atheism.

I agree that it should be taken back out. There is no reason for it to be there except that believers are probably afraid that God will get angry if they don't acknowledge him at every opportunity. As if God is that insecure.

I believe we should leave it in there...I believe in one nation under God is the way to go.....man and mans opinion are always screwing everything up...because of course we think we know more than God..and have all the answers ...when only in truth he does we dont know better than God...

There should be a total separation of church and state. "Under God" does not belong in the Pledge of Aligiance.

Yea, i just dont say it... pff, i dont even say the pledge
how can we really claim theres seperation of church && state if church morals are pushed on us && our children are forced to say theyre 'under god' no matter what their religion is. What if theyre atheist or buddhist? (sry about my crappy spelling, its late) No1s under any1, k? How can we really push equality if we say that anyways?
just shows ya who this countrys really run by
take it out! dont be pansies

Exactly. Lets get back to basics. Who wants to be forced into anything?
We don't go to public school to learn about God.

Ha. I have a poster that says "One nation under God" and it shows God lying on top of Uncle Sam, raping him.
