My cat has fibrosarcoma in her mouth and sinus. I have had the vet do 3 surgerys removing tumors from the roof of her mouth so that she can continue to eat. I have been doing assisted feeding for over a month now. The tumor has grown back again after the 3rd surgery and I have to water down her food so that she can swallow it. I am feeding her the veterinarian perscribed A/D. I am hoping to find someone familar with this type of cancer and who can give me some ideas for fighting it. Our veterinarian doesn't seem to have much hope for her. I have read about and tried using some home remedies like flax seed oil, but I'm not sure if it's doing anything for her. She is pretty much skin and bones right now, so any ideas for increasing her weight quickly would also be very helpful. The A/D doesn't seem to be enough with as little as she is willing to let me feed her. Thank you for any ideas.

I am so thankful that their are people like you who go the distance for their family members even if they are four legged.
I am so sorry for what you and your cat are going through and I used to work with this vet and he told me this one day because he knew the day for making that kind of decision was coming up for my dog, who was the love of my life.
He said look for the three things your animal loves to do best, when he can no longer do any of them at all, he is ready to go on and meet you later.
It was the most difficult decision I ever made but I waited for him to be ready and that gave us both peace although their isn't a day I don't long for him, but I know I'll see him again.
I pray you find the right doctors and have faith enough to get you both through this trying time
Blessings to you and your dog.Susie

I think at this point it might be a good idea to take her to a different vet--just to get another opinion. Is your vet a specialist in the field? or just a regular one? If it is not too late, find a specialist (and sorry, it will cost lots of money). I know that in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, there is cancer specialization treatment center there (as well as a vet school).

I think you should join the Yahoo group: felinecancer. You will find many people there who are dealing with cancer in their cats. You can get ideas on how to help your cat and get support from people for the stress you are going through.

maximum cancers could be a sluggish killer or speedy - as long as your kitty isn't in soreness and has a sturdy high quality of existence (taking area in existence and doing issues she enjoys like enjoying, consuming, and catnip) enable her stay. as quickly because it gets to the factor the place she is purely putting on yet no longer taking area in something in existence that is while it quite is time for the top... a complicated option to make no remember how old kitty is... relish her for as long or a short a time as you nonetheless have her! i does not positioned money into costly chemo with the aid of fact cats do no longer tolerate radiation nicely - and that's going to be a protracted time far off from you in an odd area, the strain on my own can kill her. I had a similiar option to make while my expensive old kitty (who's now no longer with me) superior abdomen maximum cancers... i'm so chuffed I researched it and desperate to no longer positioned her by that... It does not make bigger their existence as much as you could think of and its lots greater costly than for human beings... My condolensces although - that's the worst area of having a puppy while they develop into unwell... do no longer think of appropriate to the time once you will desire to positioned her down (do no longer think of of it as purely waiting), stay contained in the NOW and characteristic exciting / relish her now... all of us have a finite time in this enormous blue marble - the secret is to no longer fixate on the inevitable that we can't replace and enjoy existence because it happens... i'm hoping I helped!!!
