Religion always hides what it was really like during biblical times. When Moses went up into a mountain, when Jesus went into the desert for 40 days, when Mohamed went to where ever he went, no one brought a supply of food because the custom under these circumstances was to forage for food. People picked up any plant, leaf or root that could be chewed and swallowed was eaten. We now know that if you do that there are plants etc that contain hallucinogens. Mugwort , Peyote Cactus or certain mushrooms for example. that can make a person go into a different sense of reality. You can see a staff turn into a snake etc. Religion doesn't want us to ask , "What did these people eat before God spoke to them?"

It was called Shekinah Glory. His face had shown so bright that the people couldn't look at him straight up, so he had to wear a vail. The more you walk with the Lord, the more you become just like Him.
