Read books. The website listed below has a word of the day and an archive of the previous words of the day. It could be a start.

Not sure if English is your first or second language? Sorry, wasn't sure.

ESOL (English as a Second Language) is a *great* way to socialize with others, practice your English and to expand your vocabulary. There are often free classes at local colleges and churches. Teachers often make the classes quite fun too.

read newspapers, novels etc and always have a dictionary by your side so that you could always look for words that youre not familiar with.

also try to talk with your friends in english. practicing with groups will keep you motivated and will develop your communicating skills in english. unlike talking to your friends in english and them talking in another language. it'll be beneficial to you and your friends coz they may know some words that you dont know and vice versa, which will help widen your vocabulary.

also try not to idle your mind, always think ofsomething or plan of something talking to your mind in english.
