i have never used this soap- but i use the lotion they have for sensitive skin- and i love it- it's the only lotion that doesn't mae my face oily and doesn't irritate me or make me break out. I use dove sensitive skin bar soap, benoyl peroxide gel, and then put on a lot of the cetaphil lotion, let it absorb, and reapply. i do this 2 times daily and my face is really clear now. i used to have really bad skin. it's true about sticking to a routine though- my sister has the same problem i used to, but it doesn't get better because she gets frustrated and keeps trying new things. after a week your skin will get used to this regimen, i have done this for the last 4 years and my skin has never looked better. ( i have the most sensitive skin on earth too!)

I tried the liquid one and it didn't irritate my skin. Everyone's skin is different but one word of advice i can give you is to stick with it... people make the mistake of switching to a new product after only a couple weeks if it doesn't seem to be working... don't do that... skin is more complex than that, and any new routine you should give up to 2 months to see if it works or not.
If you skin is acne-prone perhaps you need to use other products too that will help control your acne. Cetaphil will be gentle but it won't magically fix your acne. Just go to a dermatologist and trust me you'll be a lot happier once they give you real advice that will for sure help out your complexion.

yes I've used it for about four or five years. I've had acne for 8. Now though my skin condition is very healthy and clear (when I am able to stop touching it). Cetaphil is wonderful! It keeps your skin soft & healthy. Cetaphil will help with the dryness. I also suggest using lotion everynight (i use nuetrogena oil free moisturizer) and every morning before apply any makeup (if you wear any) I use nuetrogena visibly even daily spf 15 moisturizer. It really evened my skin tone out. Using moisturizer will definitely make the dryness disappear. Another reason acne likes to stick around is because your skin need moisture so it's creating lots of oil, making the acne. Moisturize your skin, along with any acne medication you may be taking, and definitely don't pick at your face. Don't expect results after one day, though you may see them, it takes your skin a while to heal and adjust but after a couple weeks of treating your face right it will look much better.

I'm using the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser and the SPF15/Daily Moisturizer. I've seen some improvements. I like it. I haven't used it that long myself. I told my self that if this doesn't work then I'll be going to a dermatologist. I'm 21 almost 22 and been suffering from acne since I was like 13. I've tried EVERY over the counter product out there. So this is it for me.

NATURAL ACNE PROTOCOL
1/ Never, ever touch your face.
2/ Use 3 facecloths to wash your face, one to soap on, one to soap off with very hot water, one to rinse off with ice cold water, in that order, once a day.
3/ If you are under 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A once a day with a full meal
4/ If you are over 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A twice a day with a full meal.
Do not get pregnant while taking vitamin A. Do not take any more, like Accutane, it will stop you growing.
5/ Never, ever. pick, squeeze or pop your spot. Read number 1 again.
6/ Do this for 90 days.
7/ Invest in a brand new pillow and 2 new or more pillow cases to double bag' your pillow. HOT wash every couple of days.

A bit of advice given to me as a teenager, a bit of science as I am studying allergic reactions and vitamin A is a part of that. A bit of research: I sat in a lecture at the back and watched the acne prone pick at their faces, those with the worse acne touched their faces 32 times in an hour, the clearest complexions didn't touch their faces even once. I have circumstantial evidence that acne is the result of dermatophyte transfer from hands to face...where it does not get washed off and is well fed by hormones, sweat a
nd oil...just a hypothesis... But it would explain why vitamin A is so effective as vitamin causes skin to remove dermatophytes.
The secret is never to touch the spots
Tips on how to treat acne and achieve perfect clear skin in as little as 7 days?

yea my skin is oily sometimes and dry sometimes...my dermatologist gave me this and it doesn't do much acne wise but it's good for people with sensitive skin (like mine). usually soap makes my skin drier or too dry that it gets oily but i've never had problems...i usually follow with cetaphil lotion which is very light and doesn't clog pores or anything. what i usually do with the soap is get my hands soapy then wash my face with my hands as opposed to just putting the bar straight onto my face which would probably be harsher..hope that helped some!

i use any Target or Rite Aid brand of acne face treatment and Cetaphil Daily Face Cleanser. For the moisturizer i use unscented vasaline petroleum jelly at night, by hte time i wash my face in the morning it's already bright and moisturised, applying a little in the day will improve along with any unsented aloe lotion. i highly reccomened to not use scented and fragranced face washes and Moisturisers.-hope this helps
