Get a good puzzle book, Take Pen and Paper so you can write down things you see. Get a camera, with 40 hours on the bus surely something interesting will happen. Try to get the window seat. Take a CD Player ($10-15 at walmart). Take a good book. Make sure you take some munchies. Have a safe trip!

Drink a lot of water to keep your kidneys hydrated, take a good bock, a gameboy, try not to sleep the night before, take a small pillow for your buttocks, try to walk anytime you can, choose a window seat and get out of the bus anytime you can

will you be travelling by day or during night time? if it's night time, the bus drivers would turn off all lights so that means you can't read, either you sleep so you could have enough rest or listen to your ipod or fone and maybe watch movies if the bus would be showing any movies during your trip. you'll be so exhausted i promise you, you'd fall asleep so bring a pillow with you.
during day time, watch the scenery. read a good book.listen to your ipod or chat with your seatmate.

get an ipod and listen to music on your way....find a game to play,
like crosswords or something like that....read a magazine.....if you have a cell, call a friend....take a nap.....make a list of things you want to get done once you reach your destination......
if you have a portable dvd player watch a movie......
write a letter to a friend or to yourself about your trip and what you expect it to be like......Next thing you know 40 hrs went by in what seemed like 4 hrs....Have a nice trip!
