My wedding ring is missing. It took my husband 4 years to buy the whole ring, he just barely bought the wrap and we are suppose to get married on January 6th 2007. What am I to do? I don't want to get married until I have my ring. Is there any way I can replace it? Is there anyone out there that can help replace it? Please help me!!! Thank you and Merry Christmas!!

No my fiance didn't take it to add anything to it. We just barely got it put together. We have torn our house apart. He is aware it is missing and told me he can't afford to buy another one.

I took my ring off and set it on the shelf to put lotion on my baby. When I got out of the shower and went to get it, it was gone. I do have a 4 year old and a 2 year old that could have gotten a chair and climbed up to get it. But it is nowhere to be found. I have searched everywhere.
We have been together for 4 1/2 years and engaged for four. I already consider him my husband but he is still my fiance. Sorry to all you that think this is fishy, but it is TRUE!!

Help you replace it??? Like how?? Buy you a new one????? Are you joking???? You may just have to get a temporary ring for the day and be satisfied with that until you can buy a new one, how about YOU save up some of your money and buy a new one for yourself at a later date? A ring is just an outward symbol of the marriage anyway, it's not the law that you even need to have a ring at all. Rather than call off the wedding over a ring, get a "stand in", keep looking for the original (DID YOU CHECK THE RUBBISH BIN BY THE WAY????? I know that sounds funny, but it happens to loads of people!) get married as planned and then if the original does not turn up then you'll just have to save for a new one.

First off your entire story makes some people wonder. Seriously, let's break it down. your "husband" bought it, but your "fiance" is helping you look for it. I will give you the benefit of the doubt here, since some people call their intended's husband/or wife this close to the wedding date. After 4 years of an engagement you are pretty much already married anyway. This also leads to another question..if it has taken him 4 years to pay it all off, I take it that you have been wearing it this whole entire time. Something this sentimental and valuable to one should be better taken care of. I pray to God you aren't so irresponsible that you don't have insurance coverage on this. I would doubt it though since you are asking for complete strangers to HELP YOU REPLACE IT?!?! Ok,,,let's send out a memo to all Yahoo users to help Miss Jane Doe replace her several thousand dollar ring that she says she lost and we'll take her word on that. Lady...get a clue. And one last thing...your entire post is a scam/ joke. How many people did you really think would be able to help you locate your "lost" ring when noone here knows anything about the story other than you, your husband and fiance are all looking for it. Next time, try to plan your story out a little better or at least proofread before you hit submit.
Oh.....but since you threw in that attempt to tug at the heart strings and seem really really sweet and genuine" Merry Christmas and thanks!!" that I know was really heartfelt, let me replace your ring for you. Just give me all your banking info and I will transfer the money to your account!! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

When was the last time you saw the ring where was it? Also could your fiance or husband have taken it to have it upgraded possibly before the wedding? Well hopefully you will find it before then. I would just be honest with him and ask him if he has seen it. I hope you have a beautiful wedding and Merry Christmas to you too! And Good luck with everything.

You can buy a nice yet simple one (just a bare ring) for a few hundred dollars (tiffany's has nice ones). Or just go on ebay and get a look alike for 60 $ (Probably fake stones). you can always get a better one in the next few years. May I say Insure your stuff, homeowners and renters insurance insures jewelery if you give them proof of worth. Then they reimburse, just for next time. And if you ahve a policy double check that it is not covered.
QUESTION: The ring matters more than marrying the man you love??? If so I would postpone the wedding and reassess the whole thing.

You sound confused you stated it took your HUSBAND 4 years to buy the ring, and then you state you are not getting married until next month... Married or not? And losing a ring would make you put off the wedding/ Who lost the ring? You better be talking to your Husband/boyfriend/or whatever he is.

My niece lost her wedding ring and filed a claim with her homeowners insurance. Try that.
Did you really ask if anyone would help you replace it??? Are you kidding me??? Yeah, ok...a complete stranger is going to give you a few thousand dollars to replace your wedding ring because you said it is lost.
If it cost that much and took that long for him to purchase it and it means so much to you that you dont' want to get married without it...why and how did it get lost???? Things that are expensive and sentimental to me are put up and taken care of.
I think somebody is telling a fib here.

Well, I'm sorry you lost the ring. However you said your bf took 4 years to buy it? And you don't want to get married without the ring?? Is the ring more important than your man?? Sorry but I think that is selfish........Girl, you lost it!....and he's not even angry with you.... Why don't you go buy yourself a cheaper ring YOU can afford and go get married?

You need to find it. You need to relax, retrace your steps, and find it. If it was stolen, then well, that's bad. But it's probably somewhere. Maybe your husband hid it so he could pretend Santa is gonna give it to you for xmas. Don't freak out, just go to sleep tonight and tell yourself you'll find it in the morning. If it hasn't been stolen, you'll find it.
You don't provide enough info to really have anyone help you find it though. How did the ring go missing.

Do you have any pets (especially cats or dogs)? Is there any way they could have gotten to it? If so, then take them to the vet for an x-ray. Maybe they swallowed it. (Seriously.)
Check in the tiniest cracks anywhere near where it could have been. Also, if it could have gotten near sinks with open drains, call a plumber to see if he can find anything.
If you think it may have been stolen, call the police ASAP.
Good luck! I hope you find it!

try to maybe get some family to donate to help replace it. Try not to tell your fiance but if he questions it, tell him that you did have it on but it's lost, and pretend you just found out at that moment. Hopefully you'll find it. Here are some places to look for it: The laundry room, bathroom, in the bed (could've fallen off in ur sleep), ask your workers, under the bed. Just ANYWHERE! Spend a day looking for it!
