Did you see the Virgin Dragon Lizard ? According to the news it " impreganted itelf " and has 7 babies in its womb.God did it without a male.

God is never bound to the " science " of man. He leaps across it ANYTIME HE WANTS. He also wrapped Himself in flesh in Marys womb. He can do anything.... Jesus is God and he as He said in His Word is showing signs EVEN IN HIS CREATURES of what He did to save us in the human mother.

Wow, read the article next time, not just the head line...

"Parthenogenesis has occurred in other lizard species, but Buley and his team said this was the first time it has been shown in Komodo dragons -- the world's largest lizards.

The tests on the embryos and on Flora, her sister and other dragons confirmed that Komodo dragons can reproduce through self-fertilization."

Parthenogenesis is actually a relatively common phenomenon in reptiles, although I gather this is the first time this has been observed in this particular species. It's made the mainstream press (rather than just zoology publications) mainly because of the seasonal allusion. Nothing supernatural going on here, folks.

What's so sad is that so many people are so ignorant of biology that a supernatural explanation is the first thing they reach for. What would be a miracle, though, is a komodo dragon having "babies" in its "womb". They lay eggs, normally, as I gather this one has.

This proud mum-to-be will have all male offspring, as they will have matching sex chromosomes. In Komodo dragons matching sex chromosomes produce males, unlike in humans. If a human ever reproduced by partheongenesis any offspring would be female.

Sorry, no miracle, but a cute story. There are lots of these in science.

It appears that Kimodo Dragons are God's Chosen Lizards (as opposed to Gila Monsters). Angel winged gliding lizards will sing Gloria in Excelsis Deo (or the dragon equivalent, tongue whipping about like a deranged earthworm) as the turtles make their way slowly carrying in their shells Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh, for some traditional reason that will for ever puzzle Reptile Theologians.

I heard about this today on the radio. Absolutley amazing and so mind opening isn't it. Wow,nature is magnificent, and greater is natures God.
God bless you brother for relaying such an interesting story.
You know in a philosophy class I was in, we were reading throught one of the works of Plato about Socrates, I think it was Crito, I am not sure. But I remember that as Socrates was sitting in the Athenian jail, that much vaunted democracy which killed him by vote, he pondered how to evaluate and explain what Socrates was doin there. There were two routes and I think it showed the differenc ebetween what is called and accepted as "Science"(aka true , or certain knowledge) and common sense. Socrates could be described as being in that prison because he was chained, and therfore could not move, buit that definiton while true did not do justice to the deeper reasons why he was there, the answer and reasons of the will and decision, basically the information and philsophical side of the whoel story. It could be analyzed abd described from a total physical point of view or from the mental rational point of view and in my opinion I remember thinking then , that the mental , rational point of view was much more true and closer to encapsualting all of the reality and the physical was but a side note. I think the same thing today of the limited physical , sensual explanations for things and the universe, it is but a self imposed limit to the senses, irrespective of what the mind and logic tells us, because they trust that the senses are more reliable and safe to believe than the mind. This was all a result of the philosophical journey and struggles of the medieval period and after or one can say of all of history really.
But may professed atheists and blind followers of science don't even know this much, they don't even know that they are followers of a decided philosophy, pertaining to the realm of ontology, and epistemology , many do not even know the meaning of those words. Yet they constantly call themselves rational whern they are truly not, but rather sensual and sensualists who follow the school of empiricism, who can boast of technology, not understanding , or being willingly ignorant of the fact that , that doe snothing to prove what they cliam. Anyway, Hope this is enjoyable to somebody.

It doesn't have to be a miracle to be significant and helpful to our cause simply because it speaks of God and shows that thigns that are considered suprnatualr have a place in natrual realm as well. Life and existence are a miracle by any account. Just prolonged long enought that you consider it normal.

This is nothing new. Reptiles of all varieties do this all of the time. In the absence of a viable male for reproduction, an asexual insemination will take place. It's a natural survival mechanism designed to help protect the species. This is just a rare occurrence for Komodo Dragons, although it has happened before.

With the way the headlines were presented - the one on National Geographic's site was "Virgin birth expected for Christmas" I'm surprised there hasn't been a lot more posted on this one.

so are you trying to say that this kimodo dragon was impregnated by the Holy Spirit?

I'm not sure what you are trying to say, but I think that's a pretty neat news story anyway.
