I've heard you can go to beauty supply stores and buy toner... get a slightly darker shade than the hilights and that should tone them down.

Or... I think semi-permanent dye (like the box kind you buy at the drugstore) could help you out. Your hair will be porous since it was just bleached so it should soak up the dye well. I don't know about trying this with permanent dye because the results could be quite unpredictable.

Here's a better option... go to a pro and explain the situation and they can fix it for less than a whole dye job would cost. Alternatively, if you had them done at the salon in the first place you could go back there say you aren't satisfied and they should fix it for free... but of course this won't work if you did them at home.

Go to a pro... it'll cost more once you mess up your hair at home (trust me I've done it) and have to get it fixed at the hairdresser.

Get a semi permanent or demy permanent color to tone your high lights, don't get anything with an ash base it will make your high lights gray or green. Put it on jus tthe high lights and use foil so that you don't get in on the rest of your hair. Good luck

Get a semi-permanent hair color, this will mask the highlight, but not color the rest of your hair.
