You HAVE to have a blanket, even then your still going to have sand where sand should never be! I wouldn't recommend it unless there is a nice patch of grass at the beach.

Never been to Santa Monica,but I can tell you the beach can be a very romantic place, It seems to be the combination of the calming motion of the waves,the warmth of the sun and the open space. For some it brings back the warm feelings of our youth,takes us back to a better time in our lives.
As for whether people "do it" on the beach, I can only answer it in one word...YES

The beach is a world of it's own. It's beautiful any time of day or night. You can get lost in it. And yes people do it on the beach 24/7.

The words beautiful and intimate kinda go together in this case. Its an awesome place for a date, go about 45 minutes before sunset, bring some wine too.

The beach is just so romantic and when you look into the sunset over the vast ocean with your loved one, it creates a special moment. The ocean waves lapping against the shore is very soothing and calming and makes it feel like y'all are the last two people on earth. :)

People do it as you say almost any place you can think of. On the kitchen table, in the car, public restroom, back of a bus, on a motorcycle, in the swimming pool and even in the office. Yes the beach is well used as they say.

It is about as intimate as grand central station. Unless your into some one watching while you "do it", I would not do it there. It is a good place for a date to walk, enjoy swimming, volley ball etc.. etc.. not "do it". so I guess you know now what I done at the beach. Respected me and my date, that is what.

WELL IM FROM THE SOUTH AND WE HAVE SOME OF THE NICES BEACHES AT LEAST WE DID B/F KATRINA ANY WAY FOR MY FIRST DATE WITH MY HUSBAND WE WENT TO GULF PORT MISS AND SPENT THE DAY AND MOST OF THE NIGHT ADN WE HAVE WENT BACK A FEW TIMES SENSE WE EVEN WENT THERE FOR OUR HONEY MOON WE HAVE GREAT MEMORYS THERE AND YES PPL DO IT ON THE BEACH IN THE CAR BY THE BEACH IN THE WATER AT THE BEACH AND IT MAKES GREAT MEMORYS

Its a really nice place. But not to "do it" its a beach for heaven sake do u really want to get all sandy and stuff?? Kissing and stuff like that is alright. But if it gets that far find a room and other people who decide to go there might not want to see you gettin it on

Its so beautiful, that people get tempted to express theyre love to one another by making love.
It makes the whole making love thing more beautiful.
It's really hard to explain.
I guess you have to do it in order to understand it.
LOL.
and no, i havent been to santa monica beach.
But im pretty sure alot of people have gotten theyre groove on there.
