I was just wondering, because it seems I am allowed to treat the Koran and Muslim tradition just as Muslims treat the Bible and Catholic Tradition, right?

The second question is the more important one...

Oh, did I mention that the Koran appears to have been rewritten for the sake of money and political power?

Yes, I've read many parts of the Koran. You know that Allah grants Mohammad "special permission" to marry as many wives as he can handle.
You know that he believed in destroying Jews and Christians. This was his primary purpose all through the middle years of his ministry.

Blanket denial and no response to the second question.

I appreciate that.

no, obviously you haven't read the Qu'ran, and please when you see 4 different verses out of 6666, think what kind of representation are you getting.

Read it for your self, I dare you to, the first 3 pages!

To be honest, you can gleen anything you want from the Koran. It's blatantly violent and barbaric in spots, then compassionate and peaceful in other passages.

People say the Koran isn't violent and doesn't promote anything of the sort. That's simply not true, it's in there no matter what way you slice it. It's full of insightments to wage utter violence against non-Muslims. Verse upon verse when disected.

Others say it's a peaceful religion. According to the Koran, that's true too. All sorts of tolerant passages are in there there no matter what way you slice it.

What does this mean? With Allah, anything goes depending on your dispostion. This scares me.

Muslims say that the Quran is a miracle because no error, alteration, or variation has touched it since its inception. Christians respond that he Quran of today is nearly perfect copy of its seventh-century counterpart. But historical sources indicate that there were several different texts prior to the final seventh-century edition.

OK, I can understand why Mohammed appears to be sex crazy genocidal maniac, I have started to study Quran. All Muslims I know, are far better persons than their Prophet.

That's not true at all. I converted to Islam a few months ago after reading the Glorious Al-Quran. I did not see any verses supporting your stupid lies. The bible on the other hand is just like any other novel, there is nothing holy about it but just a bunch of stories.

Since a lot of Muslims have asked that you quote from the Koran, I thought that I'd help you Answer them. Now, get ready for them to deny these, saying that they are quoted out of context, despite their being complete quotes.

When the prophet of Islam started preaching his new religion in Mecca, he was conciliatory to Christians and Jews. He told them: "We believe in what has been sent down to us and sent down to you, our God is the same as your God" Surah 29:45. This attitude changed completely after he gained strength. Allah then tells him to "Fight People of the Book (Christians and Jews), who do not accept the religion of the truth (Islam), until they pay tribute (penalty tax) by hand, being inferior." Surah 9:29.

Mohammed hated the Jews. During his life time, Mohammed devoted much of his efforts to get rid of the Jews: "You (Jews) should know that the earth belongs to Allah and his apostle, and I want to expel you from this land (the Arabian Peninsula), so, if anyone owns property, he is permitted to sell it " Mohammed was quoted.

See Ibn Hisham: The Prophet's biography; vol. 2 pages 40 & 41 for more of the genocidical details.

At that time there were in Medina three Jewish tribes. Two of them, the Qaynqa and the Bani-al-Nudair tribes, were besieged by Mohammed's men, blocking their access to food supplies, until they surrendered on Mohammed's terms, which were
that their lives would be spared, that they must emigrate from Medina, and that they must deposit all their belongings at a certain place for distribution among Muslims.

The third tribe, Bani Qurayza, was not as lucky. After the War of the Trench, in which Mohammed was besieged by the Qurayshites led, by Abu Sofyan, it was alleged that Bani Qurayza agreed to provide help from within to Abu Sofyan's forces.

Although the alleged help did not materialize and the siege eventually ended, nevertheless, Mohammed never forgave them for their willingness to help his enemies.

Muslims turned against Bani Qurayza and blocked their streets for twenty five days. The Jewish tribe expressed readiness to accept the surrender terms which had been conceded to the other two Jewish tribes, namely cession of their belongings and departure with safe conduct.

Mohammed, however, would not consent to this, and instead appointed as an arbiter Saad iben Moaz, a man who was known to be on bad terms with Bani Qurayza. Saad ruled that all beni Qurayza's men should be beheaded, that the women and children should be sold as slaves, and that all their property should be divided among the Muslims. Trenches were dug in the bazaar of Medina for disposal of the nine hundred Jewish bodies whom Mohammed had spent the night slaughtering.

Muslims must fight until their opponents submit to Islam (surah 9:29).

Resisting Islam is punished by death, crucifixion or the cutting off of the hands and feet (surah 5:33).

Hope this helped.

Merry Christmas!!!!

PS,

Perhaps to answer the one who submits, I could say that I've read the whole Koran and more and speak Arabic.
