I have worked for State Farm and now work with Farm Bureau. If you want to run your own business and have the support of a strong company, than I would say State Farm. However, you do have to go through a lengthy and drawn out application process, before you can ever sit for an interview.

i'm not from your country, i'm from the philippines, but i've been with insurance for 11 years. in my experience the best is to apply to a top or no.1 insurance company in your country.
it is easier to sell because of its commonality. the company is well-known, you don't need to introduce the company, only yourself to your prospect.
the trust and confidence they have in the company they already knew will be easier to sell than a company just starting or still need to show credibility.
AIG-PHILAM is the company i'm working for and i find it easier to sell our products. It saves time in introducing the company, you just need to sell yourself.
