When ever I see a Person with Skin diseases I became catious and try to move away from him. I feel I might get infecteded by them.

My question is, Is Skin diseases are really contiguous? Can you
get affected by that by coming in contact with that person?

all diseases except a few like cancer are contagious but what really happens our immune system protects us from most of these diseases and it affects people who have a poor immunity. Leporsy is a weak baccilli and hence most of us do not get it even when we touch those people but only thing is have a good bath as early as possible to prevent any possiblities.

Most skin diseases are not contagious but I would treat this person as if they had a cold. If you come in contact wash the affected area immediately with soap and water and keep a hand sanitizer with you. If you are prepared you will not have to back off from this person.

It really depends on what you mean by a skin disease.
Psoriasis is not contagious. Athlete's foot is.

Leprosy is caused by a bacillus and is contagious only after repeated prolonged contact with an untreated leper.

If someone is out in public with a bad skin condition, it's almost a certainty it's not infectious. Why would they subject someone else to the health issues, staring, and ridicule that they are going through?

some of the skin diseases are contagious. if you have an open wound and you meet someone with leprosy, stay away. because leprosys' mode of transmission is skin to skin contact with an open wound.

Its rarely contagious. Approximately 95% of us have a natural immunity to leprosy.

About other skin ailments, more would depend on the nature of the ailment and the infecting agent.

Some skin rashes and other conditions can be very contagious. Ringworm and other infections you can catch. I believe you can also get warts from touching them on other people. But allergic reactions, like eczema, you cannot catch.

I know leprosy is contagious. So is ringworm, but that's a parasite rather than a disease.
