A T3 and T4 blood test. Symptoms are different depending if the thyroid is over or under active.

Overactive: rapid weight loss, anxiety, sweating, increased agitation with caffeine, you will feel like your body is in high gear all the time, trouble sleeping.

Under active: weight gain, lethargy and loss of energy.

You can experience only some or all of these. It is a condition that can be treated successfully.

In some cases you may also notice a swelling in the front of the neck.
