First; it is not healthy for your back; remember that when your sitting down for a long period of time your back isn't straight and if you keep on like that in a few years you'll start having back problems. So I recommend you streach every thirty minutes; that way you'll be preventing further complications with your back. And also; if you do not have anything on your comp screen to protect your eyes from the light you should buy it.

Your eyes: My opthomologist tells me that we have a tendency to stare at the screen, which causes "dry eye." He has advised me to use "moisture drops" regularly to prevent this.
Muscles: Causes stiffness and atrophy. We are supposed to get up at least 5 minutes every hour and stretch.
Personality: Depends on what you are doing on the PC. If you are playing games, makes for mindless conversation. If you are trying to master programs -- word processing, spreadsheets, design with graphics, etc. -- can be enlightening and boost self confidence.

Anything that long doing the same thing is a form of addiction.
And it's not good for your eyes, your posture, and your social life.
You need to find a beter balance in your life
