I am trying to use a media stick thing, and it says the .dll file isn't found er something of the sort... should I drag the other file to that one?

The quick answer is you can't open the DLL because the DLL (Dynamic Link Library) is neither a file or program. Think of it as a tool which other programs use. For example if you want to check the spelling of a Word.doc, the program CALLS the spelling DLL and passes parameters to it. You can USE DLLs if you make a program using for example VB.

If you really want to open a DLL then use NOTEPAD but all you will see is a load of double-dutch.

The first question would be "Why are you trying to open a .DLL file?"...

DLL files are typically resource files used only by programs specifically looking for information contained within them.

DLL files do not normally contain user data, unlike DOC's, XLS, ZIP, etc.

Update:
Are you just trying to copy/save files to the media stick?

Do you only see the DLL error when you first insert the media stick?

Did the media stick come with a software CD or floppy? It's possible that it's not plug and play complaint or you have an older operating system or your operating system just doesn't have all the necessary files needed to recognize the media stick.

The software CD/floppy would have a setup program or at the least have the necessary DLL files that it's asking for.

a DLL is a dynamic link library, and is not an "openable" file per se.

It is used by an application to function, not by a user.
