People get the idea of using aspirin on pimples because it contains ASA... acetylsalicylic acid (sp?) and salicylic acid is a common acne remedy ingredient.

This is another home remedy that I wouldn't recommend because

i) Do you know the concentration in the aspirin tablet? It's probably more than the 2-5% found in acne products.

ii) Is it even the same stuff?? We're not trained chemists, I wouldn't risk it

You'll probably just end up irritating your zit more. If I were you I'd go to the drugstore and buy a proper zit cream. You can get one for under $10 (Oxy, Clearsil, etc) and it is designed for pimples-- not preventing heart attacks.

I've never tried it, but supposedly you crush the aspirin and mix it with water and something in the aspirin makes the pimple shrink. I saw something about it on a TV show and these girls swore by it, so good luck.

I've never heard of aspirin on pimples. But I have heard of toothpaste. It does dry them up. Also, and this may sound gross, but, pop that bad boy then put Neosporin on it. Works like a charm.

I have never heard of this and have no idea if it works... but if you think about it, aspirin IS an anti-inflammatory drug. Probably wouldn't hurt to try, anyway.
