Corporate greed will keep us in Iraq until Americans decide that we are finished being used as mercenary troops or government has been using and abusing people both here and abroad now for far too long ! every-time that special interest groups have whistled the office of the president has trotted up panting and begging like a good little doggie saying yes master right away master we need to take back control of the system that the Constitution was written to protect and adjust it for the times to see that the abuse of power that we see now can never happen again with the news media misrepresenting what is really happening because they are owned body and soul by the very corporations that have been looting our economy and financing a freak show circus in DC !

nicely there are some similarities. there's a outfitted in inhabitants that regards us as occupiers, no longer liberators and could combat us regardless of the situations. there is likewise the shown fact that the two wars have been began on fake premises (Vietnam - Gulf of Tonkin incident, Iraq - Saddam connection to 9/11). the main difference is that Iraq grew to become into an attempt to charm to enemies into the area for removal while particularly we created an entire new enemy via occupying the country.

I can't speak for most Americans, other than our confidence in our leadership has been shaken, we are sick of the war, and of the cost of lives on both sides.
I personally do not believe there is an exit strategy and never has been. As soon as we pull out, the extremists will begin a civil war that will tear the region apart, if not install a worse government than Saddam. The Iraq war has cost America all its allies and only strengthened anti-American sentiment in the region. It will take years of rebuilding to get beck to where we were eight years ago. We will probably be paying reparations to Iraq for many, many years.

Both can and could've been one really easily but it is this damned concept of minimum war police action. See you ivade with part of your forces just to protect a certain area like a police force, thus why it is called a police action, instead of invading and taking more along with blowing **** up. They told MacArthur in Korea to destroy the Korean half of the bridge between North Korea and China and as he said "In my 50 years of military service I have never learned how to destroy half of a bridge". We are trying to combat armed terrorists in Iraq instead of killing all terrorists regardless of armed or not, and should kill terrorists all over the world. By any means, civilians will die in any form of combat. Go in Christ

It's Vietnam minus the hippies already. Our exit strategy is gonna be through grassroots pressure on our Democratic party--period.

It should be called Bush's Folly , except it's a tragedy with all the soldiers injured and killed there doing what they are told and Bush making a mess of the whole thing .

It is to the extent that it is a political failure and a military victory. The American soldier did not lose either one.
