You need a license for dealer-only auctions. This is where you get the lowest prices. The public auctions are pretty much waste of time because so many clueless morons are bidding against you and driving prices up.

There are both public and private auctions. Of course the public auctions are open to the public. Private auctions you would need a retailer or wholesalers license.

A lot of the car auctions have on line forms that you can file out and email back or print out and send in or even submit on the day of the auction to the offices.

Find out of the auction has any type of guarantee for cars sold in their auctions. Some of the better auction lots will.

I don't think so....around here alot of the auctions have nights where it is open to the public.
Call around to your local car auctions and ask them.
Just be careful....I bought a car at an auction and didn't it had lots of problems that were disguised. I didn't know that I had a time frame where if I had discovered something wrong I could have returned it. So if you do go an auction...make sure you find out everything you need to before you purchase a vehicle. I should have taken mine to the mechanic and let them look it over.

It depends on which kind of auction you are going to. The ones that require you to have a wholesaler's license, they won't let you in there, but don't get discouraged not all auctions require a license!

Depends on the auction, some are open to the public some are for wholesalers only. This also may vary by location, so find out the laws where you live.

No, yet you often must be registered with Nochex which will possibly be the only fee potential suitable in maximum Police auctions. Police auctions disguise a huge selection of issues which incorporate unclaimed lost assets.
