Well you got to consider her problems. Is she using the money for drinking, drugs or for food to feed other children and herself? Whichever one it is, if you really loved your mother you would never want to see her cry or in need when you can help? SHE IS THE ONE WHO BROUGHT YOU INTO THIS WORLD. Don't ever forget it. If she needs further help than you can give then you look for it to give her. If it's just money then give it to her. There is a God above and He watches over us, He is our heavenly FATHER. He gave you that mother, not to throw away or forget. After all, look at the things that we have done that are unforgivable. Yet he forgives us when we ask, never abandons us, loves us immensely and never remembers the sins we confess. Isn't that a wonderful Father? Why should we treat our mother any less than He treats us.

I would hope that she did say Happy Birthday before she started begging....he he DO NOT GIVE HER ANY, TELL HER THAT THE GIFT YOU ARE GIVING YOURSELF THIS YEAR IS THAT YOU WILL LEARN TO SAY NO MOTHER BUT I DO LOVE AND CARE FOR YOU AND WISH YOU WILL.
but really if you have gave her money before what would you expect from her.....she must not have much of a job or she likes to spend lots of money....

Why did she need $200.00 for? If she didn't say Happy Birthday before she started to beg for money. I wouldn't have given it to her unless it was a life/death situations. Mothers aren't suppose to do that to their kids. Merry Christmas. Let me wish you a belated Happy Birthday.....

That's a tough one. Understand this mother has a problem. And that its not the daughter's fault. Try to talk to her about it. You have to see that while she loves you, she may not view her actions as hurtful. If that doesn't work than put that wall there that says, I love you but I wont let you hurt me anymore. Then try to have your relationship.

If your mother needs $200, give her the $200 and more if she
needed it. If I had another chance to help my Mother, I would
jump at it, no questions asked.

Change your phone number. In the alternative, get caller ID and don't answer her calls anymore. She can't take advantage of someone she can't get in touch with.

I'm surprised that your still in contact with family like that. I would have cut them out years ago. Blood or not, you have to think of your own well being.
