What do I use to test fuel that`s been contaminated with kerosene & how do I separate it ?.

If the vehicle is a diesel, then you might not notice the difference.

For a truck with a gasoline using engine, do not bother testing if you suspect kerosene contamination. You need drain the fuel tank and lines. For an engine using a carburetor, the small float tank should also be taken apart and cleaned.

Refuel with the grade of gasoline to which you have added alcohol (any product like "Heat" or a gas line de-icer). Use a petroleum based Starting Fluid to get the engine to crank and finally turn over. A Diethyl ether type Starting Fluid could be used in a pinch, but it is not as good for this task.

tanto el fuel como el keroseno, contaminan, ya sean juntos, como por separado, lo que pasa es que la tasa de contaminacion de ambos materiales es diferente y actua durante un lapsus de tiempo mas largo o corto, un saludo de juand
