i think you should keep your hair fairly light because if you go too dark you might looked washed out

i have had my hair just about every color. the key is how dramatic you want to be. if you have a cooler complexion and light eyes pale ash blonde would look very good. pale ash with some golden lowlights would be nice. if you want to make your blue green eyes pop, you could add some light copper lowlights. Black may be to severe for you, but you could maybe add some darker brown lowlights into blonde. I wouldn't go in and color your hair a darker color all over. sounds like you are thinking of doing it yourself at home. to do that you would have to fill the blonde and then if you wanted to go to your natural color you would have to do a tint back, which is hard to do by yourself. you could end up with a strange muddy color or flat to dark color. i would go to a salon. hth

If you have fair skin and bluish eyes (blue-green sounds really pretty), I would recommend going all the way...POWER RED!! Don't go too deep a shade like Maitland Ward did on Boy Meets World or like Marcia Cross now, but a healthy power-packed red. Think Lindsay Lohan in The Parent Trap, NOT Mean Girls. Light and sun-kissed. Fervent and intentional. If you have freckles, this will look even hotter. Prepare for your first J-Crew covershot!

strawberry blonde
chi hair color 8cg is so beautiful(professional)
a medium copper gold blonde
especially with warm skintone and green eyes

but no mater what you decide, your color should always deepen up for winter. It should provide a contrast to the lightnes of your skin, even if the color is only a little darker than your skin tone.
in the summer you can go opposite, hair lighter than your tan.
never have your hair the same lightness as your complection this will always make you look washed out.
remember hair is the picture frame for the portrate that is your face.
that is my professional opinion as a colorist of 12 years

Evidently you didn't like your natural brown color therefore I would do a reverse frost add some browns and a different blonde color. Blonde lightens the complexion.

Go red! I have fair skin, dark brown hair, and grey eyes, though I wore aqua contacts the first time I went red back in '91. I've kept it red since then. I get comments all the time on my "gorgeous red hair." I love it. Red heads are rarer than the other colors so you get noticed more. They say blondes have more fun, but they're wrong...it's red heads!

Have you thought about trying a Strawberry blonde? It's a darker blonde with red highlights. That might be a nice change.

Any shade that washed out your skin color. I was gonna say dye your hair dark brown or black though.

Darker hair colors typically look better with fairer skin and lighter eyes. It makes the eyes stand out.
