Just go on a two week cruise...don't think about death...that will come soon enough!

That's the whole point of that line in Shakespeare, in Hamlet, about To Be or Not To Be. He says, "In that sleep of death, what dreams may come?" We don't know what happens after death, it might be worse than what you have now.
What I do to escape from life is to make a plan. I think about what would make me happier, and figure out a way to get closer to that. If getting out of the house would do it, I go to the library. If I'm angry at what I have, I take a homeless person out to lunch and listen to him, and then I feel better that I have so much. If I'm feeling lonely, I go to a nursing home and spend a half hour with someone who has no one because everyone they've loved has died. If I feel depressed, I donate money to charity and feel grateful that I can.
You can always call the suicide hotline. There's one in each state, and they have caring people who will talk to you as long as you like, and it's free.

Honey, don't try to escape life. It's a wonderful thing. I've hit some really hard times in my life, but it got better and I almost didn't give it a chance. There was one night that changed my life. I won't say what exactly happened, but I did something very foolish and when I layed down and started drifting off to sleep, I realized something. I wasn't ready to die and I thought it was to late. When I woke up I was never happier. Life is beautiful. It has its hard times, but its what the future holds that makes life better. Give it a chance. I thought that hell couldn't be worse than the life I was living, but now I'm alive and happy. Death should not be your decision. When the time comes and you leave this world, it shouldn't be by your own hand. Take my word for it.

You can't escape from your life but if you accidentally show people that they/someone got you so down that you are thinking you'd be better off leaving it, they'll show more animosity and get you down further. It is impossible for most people to realize that if someone gets hurt, they feel down.

The best you can do is forget all about what bothered you or at least go into a corner and cry your heart out. Go on. Do it. You'll feel much better when you've dealt with the clouds in your heart.

Then go watch a good comedy movie. Yeah, life is tough. You aren't even allowed to feel bad about it for a few moments -- it only gets you labelled as bipolar or depressed if it's for a long time.

The best behavior according to the psychologists is when you (on your own or by use of drugs) delude yourself to think everything is alright even if you have genuine problems. I wonder why they call junkies bad though -- they seem to be doing same things with different drugs though.

This life can only make sense as a big joke full of nonsense -- laugh your heart out ;)

Fiorst of all, are you on any meds like Paxil or Prozac? reason I ask is that new FDA warnings state a person is almost three times more likely to commit suicide if taking anti-depresents like these. If you are on meds see your doc imediatly and tell him of this listed side effect. yes it is a listed side effect. If you are not on meds then the recomendation is not to take somethingthat incrseases your chances.

Get to a 12 step program. something like Emotions Anonamous..will prob help. Get out and walk and excersise..this helps release your natural dopamine from your brain and makes you feel better. Confront your probelms if it's something haunting you. This will help free your fear. Death comes to us all and like it or not most of us will suffer depression at times in our lives. It is normal. You are not alone. Talk to a close friend don't be afraid.

That pretty much accounts for the last 24 yrs of my life. I sit alone and play with a loaded shotgun hoping it will "accidentally" go off. I also drink over a fifth of vodka a day. So far no results.

Yes I have, and the reason was that I was seriously depressed. I suspect that you are depressed also.

For me, at the worst times, I had strong urges to kill myself and was afraid that I would commit suicide. Please see your doctor and see about getting on an antidepressant medication.

Also, please look for a good counselor that can help you look for and resolve any underlying issues that are causing or contributing to the depression.

Pray... that is what life is all about. Its about enduring the hard times and keeping your chin up during it. Its about HOW you endure .. and if you endure it well, it will be well with you.

Trust in the Lord. He will never give you more than you can handle. its his promise!!

Have you ever seen someone that has gone thru literal hell? but they seemed happy, refined, strong? its because they endured it and they endured it well.

Life is not meant to be easy......that is not why we are here. We are here to learn and to grow and to become like our Father in Heaven. Its thru these trials and hard times that we build our charactor and our faith.

I have seen rough times.....where I didnt want to face another day. But, I learned.....that each day brings things to be grateful for and brings true blessings. You can always feel your saviors love in the darkness if YOU seek for it.

Hugs to you .....I know, we ALL know....life can be soo hard. Its suppose to be. You are in school here on earth... schooling to grow and learn. One day, you will be that strong women with the dignity and charactor that someone else will be admiring becuase of the trials you have endured in this life and HOW well you endured them.

Just remember, suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

Talk to someone.
