he says he doesn't want anything except to see me and his mom. he's coming back on sunday. his favorite movie is rocky so i got him a shirt with rocky on the front and my b/f's name on the back. i think that's stupid now after i've bought it. would it be k if i don't buy anything?

I think your gift is actually a really good gift and is totally creative. He will appreciate your thoughtfulness and creativity with a gift from the heart.
He sounds like a great guy. You would NOT be a bad girlfriend if you don't get him anything. The real meaning of the season isn't about recieving gifts, it's about spending time with your loved ones and remembering Christ's birth. I suggest still giving him that nifty shirt you made/got him and then just spend Christmas with him and his mom. Maybe write him a really nice letter telling him how much you care about him or how special he is to you with maybe a nice picture of y'all for him to have.

How would you feel if he didn't get you anything. Why don't you get him a movie theater gift certificate, be creative with a card and tell him the gift certificate is for the new Rocky movie, to go with that shirt. You spring for the snacks, and viola! a great gift that comes from your heart.

That doesn't sound like a silly gift to me. If he likes Rocky, it sounds like you knew just what to buy him. Yes, I think every couple should always reciprocate in the gift giving no matter how small. Sure, it's the thought that counts. But, taking the time out to buy a little something just makes it a little more special!
