then he would lose. his mind isnt thinking about winning through technique, and in his moment he would be out rolled and broken. or he would be immediately disqualified, and be known forever, just like john hopoate who in a rugby league game in aussie stuck his finger up another guys @sshole while tackling him (on purpose), that was remembered for years, and was a standing joke.
or you wake up from the wet dream, and realize it was your brother and you fighting... time for family council meetings.

Well there was this nice Japanese guy who once tried to kiss Heath Herring in a staredown.... immediate knockout.
In wrestling there is a move called "Checking the oil" where you intentionally thumb a dude in the ***.
But most of the time your appendages are protecting yourself instead of trying to grab things. Dude would probably get whipped up on if he did it.
I highly doubt it would lead to disqualification, but probably to subsequent humiliation, and possibly a revocation of your license through a State's athletic commission. (meaning loss of fights and money)
More than likely that would be what would happen, it would go unpunished in the match, maybe a warning or point deduction and the State's athletic commission would suspend you.
(My buddy got suspended because he cartwheel kicked a dude and they thought the match might have been faked)

From the point of view of a street-survival type martial artist, I would say that you should always do whatever is necessary for sucess. I'm not saying grab some crotch in a friendly sparring match, but if putting your opponent on an uneasy footing is what you need to do in a higher-stress situation, then I would say do what you have to. You can always wash your hands.

i suppose that would depend on the combatants they may end up married.
in reference to stg's comment about john hopaute he's actually not a bad bloke and while it was done purposely he made a mistake and it's not something he would normally do.any way rugby leagues a gay game so what would you expect.

I do not think this would deter the other combatant from fighting.
The adrenaline is flowing so hard that it would most likely go unnoticed.
