truthfully, you and that boy will not last forever...and then you would have ruined a friendship with your best friend over something stupid.
just let it be...don't mess up something for your best friend over a crush that you aren't even sure about.

if she is a really good friend of yours
then you should tell her how you feel
even if you are not sure of your feeling for the guy yet.
always communicate with your friend
to let her know your feelings
