According to this, 95% of Americans have had premarital sex since at least the 1940's. I'm sure that more than 5% of Americans are professing Christians, so I'm just wondering... how do those professing Christians who engage in premarital sex deal with feelings of guilt?? Because I've been trying to deal with guilt myself, going back and forth with my boyfriend. Sometimes I'm ok with it, and sometimes I feel guilty and decide to stop. Honestly, how do you get rid of the guilt and just enjoy it? Cause I'd really like to know.

To grim jack... that's not true. I feel guilty without being caught. I suffer in silence. There is no need to blame someone else... what would be the purpose?

You are genetically programmed to have sex. Religion somehow decided to intrude on this, but it is all bullshit.

There's nothing wrong with having sex. If there were, the human race would be screwed.

The guilt will be there, I'm sorry to say, becuase we have to accept the consequences of our actions, good and bad. As a Christian, I belive that, yes there are these consequences here on Earth, but God gave me a way out. There are things I regret doing, and still feel horrible about, but I know that whatever will happen, I have God with me. So who can be against me?

I'm sorry that you have made this choice, but God will help you, if you let him. Seriously, I'll pray for you.

A true christians is avoid premarital sex.Only in a marriage of a man and woman is sex allowed by God.It didn't change God's mind when Isreal turned to sexual immorality.Neither is God a follower of the PC crowd and liberal theologians that try to push the "free sex" agenda.He never accepts "free sex".

Sister,I think you already know the answer. Your feelings of guilt are there for a reason. You need to ask yourself and your Lord what you should do. The repentance process is there for you .Pray and follow the promptings of the Spirit.

There is only one way. To repent ( which means turn from your sins) and ask Jesus to be the Lord of your life. Get a bible king james perferably, read it and do what it says. Start with the new testimant. Matthew, James, John, Romans are all good books. Get a good bible devotional to go with it. Once you truly repent and ask Jesus to be Lord of your life, the guilt is gone and the fear of death, or the wrath to come.

Yeah right, like how could they even come to a number such as 95%? Have you been polled, I haven't. I have never heard of anyone telling me they had someone ask them if they had pre-marital sex. Who are they asking?

I had premarital sex before I got saved. Once I got saved all of my sins were washed away. I became a new creature in Christ.
2Cr 5:17 Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

2Cr 5:18 And all things [are] of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

2Cr 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

2Cr 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech [you] by us: we pray [you] in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

2Cr 5:21 For he hath made him [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
