Do you think that these Marines are being sacrificed as scapegoats to appease worldwide critics of the Iraq war, being used to divert attention?

War is ugly, and many ugly things go by little noticed in the world community during a ugly entrenched war. Rules of engagement, as terrible as they are, usually prevail, and having Marines placed in a terrible situation under attack, so why is the Bush administration using them as scapegoats instead of defending them?

Why are they so willing to trash these Marine's careers like that?

Agree?

There is only one who is allowing this and that is the guy at the top. No Generals or any others are responsible for this except the one at the top. How do you end up with a murder rap in a war situation? Just as you said, they are being sacrificed to the wolves and Bush is allowing it. What a bunch of crap...

I save in options 7 or so of our squaddies were captured with the help of the Iraqis in the course of the 2d Iraq conflict. I save in options George telling Saddam Hussein, via CNN/media, that if any of our squaddies are harmed, then Saddam Hussein will be held to blame. How ironic, an American President (Bush) isn't conserving himself to the same favourite! I save in options Bush speaking about Geneva convention then. How ironic, this similar American President thumbed the same Geneva convention at Gitmo, and to correct it off, he's absolute brushing aside the middle beginning position of this u . s .'s conception in democracy with the passage of the military Commision Act of 2006. How pathetic, an American President, robbing the rights of its electorate! OMG, the extra i imagine, the extra sick i'm getting ...what a shame, what a shame... To summarize, that's, to respond to your question...the marines at the on the spot are not charged because they have dedicated crimes antagonistic to the harmless Iraqi civilians; they are charged because they were given stuck. those suspected criminals ought to not save it lower than the rugs, by way of extremely honorable large American Soldier(s). Their are thousands and thousands of alternative cruel atrocities that are going unpunished because they are waiting to save them hidden from the yankee those with the help of the censorship of the U. S. media. in case you bypass to the internet, you'll see lotsa video data of the crimes dedicated.

is it that hard to not go on a murdering rampage? what about the marines that raped that fourteen year old girl and killed her family in the next room? were they innocent? give me a fvcken break. why is it that people feel compelled to have symphathy for soldiers as if they're somehow little harmless daisy's? these are people that brag about their "toughness" about how hard and rutheless they are. (btw im in the military). most of them aren't doing it for their country. are u fvcken kidding me, half of these guys are in here for the money, a chance to get out of jail, and glory and adventure. these are people that go into another country rip it up, for their own experiences. the majority can't wait to get their first kill, and they act all emotional by taking pictures of little kids, and giving them candy. when 20 minutes before they orphaned them. grow up people and don't fall for the hollywood depiction of the army. its not that glorious. and quit feeling sorry for them, feel sorry for the iraqis, who have a bunch of highschool dropouts and rambos running their country.

my opinion is they probably murdered all these innocent civilians under 'temporary insanity'.

that's the only way I could have done something so horrible.

their buddy get's blown in half, right in from of them

for sure it must have been the most horrible night in their lives.

I feel sorry for all who are fighting in Iraq (except for the Nazi sickos who would kill their own mothers)

They would be OK if they dropped 8,000 pound bombs on civilians from 50,000 feet. That doesn't seem to matter. In fact Rumsfeld and Bush admire it.
