I really need your help now if any day. I had always told him I wanted a ring because I never got a nice gift from a guy. The only thing I got was make-up. Well here is somethings that make me believe it is. First off, his history on the internet says he was on ebay looking for engagment rings, but then today he said he was not buying any rings cause all it seems to do it ruin the relationship(he is only saying this for a coverup?). Then I was going to throw this little box away and he told me not to because he could use it for someone's gift(everyone's shopping is done but mine). THEN he gets paid here soon and he said he is going to buy my gift before he pays anything at all(and his checks are really good) What do you all think?

The worst thing you can do is get your expectations up that high-I know because I did it this past weekend with my long term (and now long distance) boyfriend. Several people suggested that he might propose while I was visiting, and because my expectations were high I ruined what should have been a great weekend.
It's just a few days til Christmas-enjoy the season because it's a year til the next one rolls around. If you expect a ring and don't get one, no matter how nice of a gift he gets you, you'll be upset.
Instead expect a sweater or gloves-if your gift is jewelry of any kind you will be overjoyed, instead of being depressed if it's not.
New Year's and Valentine's are around the corner...it could always be a future gift that he's searching for... some guys won't propose on Christmas because they think it should be a separate occasion.

Sounds like it may be, But it also may be a ring for a gift, wait and see if he asks you the question if not then its not an engagement ring!!

I think you are rushing this WAY too much. You are going to get yourself all hyped up for something that most likely isn't going to happen. How old are you anyway? The last thing you would want to do is rush an engagement/marriage.

if he hands you a box with a ring in it and then says will you marry me then its an engagement ring . if he does not ask then its just a ring . if you find you are totally lost as to what it is after he gives it too you just ask him what finger he would like you to wear it on . just in case he is freaking out at the time if he chooses the wedding ring finger just say something like you know what finger that is dont you .

I wouldn't assume it is an engagement ring for you unless he explicitly said so. Otherwise you might think you are engaged while he thinks he's not. That would be a bad situation.

just wait and see. he might have typed in engagement ring just to get a certain looking ring. maybe he typed in ring and it got him other stuff. dont get your hopes up just yet

it sounds like it might be, best bet is to just relax and try not to obsess about it.
You won't know until he gives it to you, and it's always nice to have a little surprise when it comes to this.

i don't think it will be a engagment ring, unless he proposes. if he just gives it to you then its just a gift.

dont assume anything. calm down and wait and see what he gets you. you don't want to get yourself excited about a ring that you may not even get.
