Islam claims to recognize Jesus as a Prophet of God, yet countries like Saudi Arabia will kill those who convert to Christianity or other religions. There are also severe penalties for a Christian visitor to bring a Bible (for their personal use) into Saudi Arabia.

I find it telling that any time someone questions an aspect of Islam some Muslims starts putting down the Bible.
For those who know Islam know that Muhammad personally approved of the murder of a Jew who converted to Islam and then went back to the religion of his fathers.
As for Muslims not practicing that in China, is that to say that it is okay to pick and chose what part of Islam you want to follow?

Noitice how it says "a man who fought against ALlah and His messenger...and became an apostate" not just if they become an apostate. Also, what Saudi Arabia is doing is wrong. They have no beef with these converts; justice is served in the afterlife; it is not our role to sanction these types of killings. Also, that source is a hadith and not the Holy Quran; it is simply a written account of the Prophet's life by his companions. It is NOT the word of God. In the Quran (true word of God) it says 'there is no compulsion in religion" and that "any one who believes in God and the last day and does righteous deeds; on them shall be no fear nor shall they grieve" So I suggest you dont talk of something you know nothing of. I've met apostates and *gasp* they are still alive. You look in countries like France where women are banned from practicing their religion EVEN out of their own free will. These restrictions bar us from our human rights and thank God I don't live there. England, America and other nations still have prejudiced views against Muslims and after 911 many Muslims and "Muslim looking" people were killed basd only on their looks (including a Sikh). Before you start spouting off and instigating I suggest you do some research and find out what Islam really is. I'm sorry if you can't handle Islam. and what the hell does the crusades have any business with the questions?
muslims who always bring the topic of crusades when facing questions about their religion are just accepting the fact that after Christianity(catholic) it is the second most brutal religion in the world. comparing deaths and murders with that in the crusades, why? those murders can be justified because, "hey catholics did that much more! our is only a little". certainly not!
it is a form of alibi and scapegoats, and these things are not acceptable...
just the same as, hey i only cut his arms, the catholics did much more...(duh....)
i don't generalize muslims, but sometimes, what you see is what you get ideology would eventually convince me that majority of them are really like what the islambashers say.

U can never find the 100% right version of bible. So u can't say anything 100% about Bible. First u have to find the Original Bible, which have contains the right information about converters.

Don't blame Islam. Blame the Muslims or Saudis.
Islam has nothing to do with it. In the Quran, God says there's no compulsion in religion... God also told Muhammad (pbuh) to say this to the disbelievers... your religion is yours... my religion is mine.
And for your information.. there's more Muslims in China than in Saudi Arabia. And the Muslims in China don't practice that.
