Well my boyfriend loves me a lot enough to say he wants to marry me. But his friends are like number 1. because he is young and that what guys care about is there friends and then there gf's but if he really loves you and knows he will lose you because of his friends he will change his lifestyle with his friends for you.

It just means that he loves you, but isn't ready to stabilize with you. He just really doesn't want to be in a relationship probably. You should ask him this and ask him to be honest (he probably won't be) and hopefully you can work it out.
My guess is though, that he just isn't ready for a stable relationship.
