I once asked a lady who was advising me to read the Bible a similar question. She agreed that 'Christ' is the' indwelling spirit' in us all ,even if we are from a place or time that hasn't heard the name. I suggested that the name and story isn't the critical thing then. At which point she reverted to asserting that I should read the bible ,and only through Christ, etc, etc.. I don't think we need to worry to much somehow . Of course there are always people around trying to help and save others. I'm up for a bit of that myself.

Read Exodus. God gave us the ten commandments. 1. have no other gods before him. (don't worship anything but God 2. do not make for yourself a graven image(physically or mentally) 3. Do not take God's name in vain. (use it as a curse word) 4. remember the Sabbath 5. honor your father and mother 6. do not murder 7. do not commit adultery 8. do not steal 9. do not lie. 10 do not covet. If you break any of them you are guilty of them all. God wants you to realize you cannot keep his commandments and that is why you need Jesus as your savior. because he lived on earth as a human and did not sin, and then he took your or our sins and bore them on the cross and paid our price and then conquered death and that is why He is your only way into heaven. The bible says there is nothing man can do nothing but humble yourself repent and ask Jesus to be the Lord of your life. Every one who calls on the name of Jesus Christ will be saved.

John 3:16 tells us:"For God loved the world so much that He sent His only begotten Son,in order that anybody exercising faith in him, might not be destroyed, but have everlasting life."
Jehovah God's original plan for mankind was to live forever on a paradise earth. He created the first human pair,Adam and Eve perfect. He put them in a garden paradise and told them to be fruitful and fill the earth. They however rebelled against their Creator and sinned. As a result of that sin, they lost their perfect state. They began ageing and eventually die.As offspring of Adam and Eve,we all inherit sin and death. We are born sinners and therefore doomed to die. That is why Jehovah God allowed his only begotten Son to come down to earth as a perfect man(Adam was also a perfect man)to buy back so to speak what Adam had lost.Jesus offered up his perfect human life as a ransom sacrifice,in order that those who exercise faith in that ransom now will have the opportunity to have their sins forgiven and enjoy the prospect of eternal life.
This was God's original plan for mankind.Eternal life on a paradise earth.

"All we like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; but the Lord has made to meet together on Him (Jesus) the iniquity(and its consequences) of us all" (Isaiah 53:6)
Before God ever created anything, He considered the consequences. He knew if He gave self-aware moral creatures free will, some would violate His Will and introduce chaos, disharmony and corruption into His universe. He knew justice would demand retribution. Therefore the Scripture speaks of the "Lamb slain from the foundation of the world".
When Adam fell, he had a change of nature that passed down onto all his descendants. Man is born with a natural bent toward sin. However God does not judge a man for his nature, but for actions. When Jesus died He died as the representative of the entire race of Adam, and bore the corporate guilt of the world upon Himself. He also bore the old nature of Adam and put it to death. It is a nature of rebellion and stubborn self-will. When Jesus rose from the dead He became the author of a new kind of life - the Christ nature, which can be summed up by the passage "I delight to do Thy will O my God; Thy law is within my heart". When we accept the testimony of God concerning His Son and believe in His atoning death, we become born-again children of God. In this way God saves us by removing the guilt of all past sin and giving us a new nature that is able to overcome the power of sin. Salvation is therefore instant - we are born again; progressive - we learn by yielding to the new nature how to become Christ-like; and future - one day He will give us new, undying bodies like His resurrection body, which are incapable of sinning.

Sin is human nature it is the thing that separates us from God. When God created us He wanted us to have free will. So our love for Him would be valid and true. He also gave us intelligence. This unfortunately leads us to pride, and pride does not love.
Jesus by giving His life in the most selfless way showed us the Magnificence of Gods love. This should by its very nature humble our pride and let us truly choose to love our Creator.
Imagine a Great stream that flowed continuously and gave life in abundance by its very nature. It had all the nourishment needed to sustain everything that lived in it forever. It had the ability to create new life and give it what ever attributes it wanted. It loved its creations and desired to create a life that could love it back. So it created a fish with a brain, and intelligence, and passion. Than because they were now smart they became prideful and started jumping out of the stream to try to live without it. Since they needed the stream to live they would end up choking to death tragically on the streams banks, often in their ignorance they would even blame the stream for being controlling, and some times even curse it.
So the stream made itself like one of the fish so they could see and understand him. He comunicated the streams desires and plans for the fish to them. Some of the fish who were full of their own pride did not believe what the (stream) fish was saying. They thought that it was a threat to their prideful beliefes and conspired to get rid of it. But the stream knew what they would do so used their cruelty to show the other fish the errors of their ways.
So when the cruel fish brutaly killed the (stream) fish in front of the others, the Stream brought it back to life and showed them that they had no power, and that if all things would just stay in the stream they would have everlasting life.

Every religion says that they have a way for you to get to heaven. God let his son die in order to supposedly save us but he didn't realize that the majority of people on this planet choose not to be Christian and don't care about Jesus Christ. If God would have given his son immortality, Jesus would still be alive today working his miracles. The World could use a few miracles right now. Especially with some saying, "Convert to our religion or die".

If Jesus had not come to save us from sin then when we died we would have all gone to hell for eternity. He came to save us from our sins means just that. We are ALL sinners. All of us have done something wrong whether we meant to or not. Jesus came to take the punishment for us for our sins. That way when we accept Christ as our Savior, we may go to Heaven instead of hell.

Clever question.
Christ gives us the divine light to save us from our sin of ignorance. But Christianity affects only a number of people in a limited area on earth.
Other Saviors such as Buddha, Muhammad, Moses...do the same thing in different regions at different times.
Now is the time for Baha'u'llah to do the same thing throughout the world. It is not because Baha'u'llah is greater than other Saviors, but because mankind can accept new things that could not be taught in the past.

God told Adam not to do one thing, or he would die. Adam sinned, so he was justly condemned to die. This was not merely physical death, because he did not die right away. It was also a weakening of his nature.

All men partake of the same nature (by "men" I mean "humankind," not "males.") So through the sin of Adam, the fallen nature (i.e. the loss of grace) came to all men.

It was to repair this loss of grace that Jesus became man. If he did not come, all men would be condemned to die.

Check the 10 commandments, and tell me HONESTLY, or better still tell God HONESTLY how many of them you have broken. THAT'S what He came to save you from. Ever notice how you never have to teach a child to do wrong? You have to teach them RIGHT from wrong. We are natural born sinners no matter how you look at it. Jesus came to save us from sin and from HELL and to give us eternal life. Choose wisely!
