The person that you described as a "Witness" clearly by her actions show that she is NOT a Witness. Are you sure she's REALLY a baptized Witness or just studying or "affiliated." A lot of people are quick to label anyone who even studies with Jehovah's Witnesses or go to the hall a Witness. And even if she is a dedicated Witness she obviously is not in good standing. The things she's doing could get her disfellowshipped! In no way does this one individual represents the vast majority of Witnesses who strive to live by high moral standards and who diligently follow what the Bible says.
Jehovah's Witnesses would not celebrate holidays or birthdays because they are not only unscriptural but have pagan origins. This would be completely incompatible with true worship. We follow the command at 2 Cor. 6:14-18 where it tells us to "quit touching the unclean thing." Birthdays for instance were only spoken of twice in the Bible. In both instances they were observed by two rulers who did not worship Jehovah God. (Gen 40:20-22; Matt 14:6-10) You can find out more about the origins of some of these popular holidays from the following links. It may be a surprise to you.

Just because someone claims something that does not alway mean that they are so! the person you speak about may have studied the Bible but may not have changed her life to truly be a Witness, Another point is, you should never believe or look to ont person's conduct as fitting to the the whole group! No a true Jehovah's Witness would not do such thingas as you speak of here! And in this case, celebrating Christmass may be something that is hard for her to accept, which also denotes that she has not fully given her heart to Jehovah fully, and therefore shows that she is not truly A Witness but that is something between her and Jehovah God!

you may no longer decide a faith from only one occasion. He must be a Jehovah Witness, yet a foul Witness. as far through fact the clarification for no longer celebrating birthdays, there are no longer any occasion of the early Christians doing that, and no command of Jesus or His apostles which let us know to rejoice Jesus' birthday, despite if we are able to tell precisely whilst He replaced into born. yet for useful, it ought to no longer be twenty 5th of December, which replaced right into a pagan pageant of the birthday of the solar God. This pagan pageant replaced into later Christianized via the Catholic Church, subsequently the call Roman Catholic Church. i'm no longer a Jehovah Witness, yet i'm a Christian, subsequently a Christ's Witness, and that i'm no longer protecting the ideals of the JW, yet basically affirming historic info. in case you study interior the Bible, each and each time a birthday is reported, a tragic element got here approximately. On Paharoh's birthday, his butler or bread maker replaced into beheaded. and by way of the celebration of Herodes, John the Baptist replaced into beheaded. Celebrating birthdays have in no way been a Christian custom yet pagan custom.

She clearly is NOT a JW! We do NOT smoke, we are moral and upright people. Perfect? No, we do make mistakes just like everyone else, but we try to live a clean life and live our life by the Bible! We do NOT celebrate birthdays or any other holdiays that are celebrated by the world.
