If you are traveling in the US you can take one carry-on piece of luggage and a personal item (your purse). All lotions must be in bottles that are 3 oz or less and they must all be in a one quart zip top bag and screened separately at security. If the lotions are medication, you will be allowed to take more, and they can be packed outside of the plastic bag. Here's the US Transportation Security Administration's website with their list of permitted and prohibited items: http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/prohibited/permitted-prohibited-items.shtm
You purse will have to be under the seat in front of you (or the overhead) for take off and landing, but you can keep it with you.

Your purse counts as your (1) personal item that you are allowed to bring on the plane in addition to your carry on. Your lotion does not have to be put in a baggie but make sure it is a small lotion. If your purse is not too big you may keep it on your lap or I just place it under my feet for take off and landing. Don't worry things will be OK. Have a great trip.

You are allowed to bring your purse plus one carry on luggage on most airlines. You will have to place your purse under the seat in front of you or in the above storage area, but you will be able to get it during your flight so you can access your ipod.
As far as the lotion that item does need to be in a clear plastic bag. I would suggest that you visit the TSA website http://www.tsa.gov/ they have the complete list of what you can and can not bring on the aircraft with you.

Hope this helps and have a great flight!

Women are allowed to bring thier purse plus a carry on. Check your airlines website for the measurements for a carry on...at the airport, they check you carryon for its size usually and if it is too big you have to check it. Usually ust a small bag works good for a carry on.

As for the lotions, i am not sure if there is still a TOTAL ban on liquids, but i would just not bring them in case.

I find the most nerve wracking thing is going through security! THye make you feel like a criminal no matter what!! Dont feel bad if you get pulled aside for an "extra search"...this is routine! Also, dont bring any lighters, they will make you throw away. Dont wear a belt or a bra with metal...the thing will beep no matter what!!

Typically, you are allowed one carry on bag PLUS your purse. And yes, anything liquid in your purse, including lip gloss and hand lotion, should be in a clear baggie. I just flew last weekend, and leaving a large airport, it wasn't a problem that I didn't have the baggie. But then leaving a smaller airport, they went through my ENTIRE purse and made me put every lip gloss, lipstick, etc, in the baggie. No big deal, but needless to say, it slowed me down getting through security. Also, the flight attendants may make you put your purse under the seat in front of you. But don't worry, no one else can get to it. Good luck and happy travels!!!

For most flights you are allowed one small carry-on plus one personal item. A purse is considered a personal item. You can take your lotion, but it must be smaller than 3 oz. and must be placed in a clear zip lock 1 qt. plastic bag. You can only take a maximum of 3 liquid or gel items in the 1 qt. bag on the plane. Each item must be 3 oz. or smaller. See www.tsa.gov for more info. It's a great website and helped me prepare for my flight last week.
