dont know what you've been smok'in but Cali IS it's own state.
Since you are so well educated in current events, how about you just slide off to France, You fit right in with their level of intellect.
And to the one who said Texas should be its own Nation....
WE WERE!
Texas is the ONLY state that has ever been its own Country. By itself.
Republic of Texas.
We won our independance from Mexico on our own without US assistance and was our own Country for 10 years before agreeing to join the US.

california is very essential to the economy. Aside from the wackjobs in hollywood, liberals in the bay area, the rotting city of LA, and the mass of illegals in san deigo, California is not really that bad i've met a lot of good people here but they're mainly from smaller towns. The coast and the mountains here are just unbelievably beautiful.

While there certainly are many things weird in California, lopping it off into the ocean would not be a good idea as it produces the majority of the produce (as in fruits and vegtables) for the united states.

California has tried to revolutionize its thinking what other States cannot do with its citizens. Definitely not their loss.
Putting aside what you don't personally like though, its the diversity of people. The acceptance and tolerance of each other is just exactly what makes it a great State.

California has the 6th largest economy in the world. It's just a little under France and the UK. I may not agree with all of their politics, but they worth keeping.
