I'm not exactly sure what you mean by bikini line, but I have a tattoo that starts at my hip bone and goes up and wraps around my side a bit, it's about 10 inches long. And i love it. So yeah i would say do it. Yes, it does hurt, it hurt most right by my hip bone and on my side. When he was doing the part on my side it was actually making me sick to my stomach from the pain. But i didn't say anything, i just sat there and took it like a man :) haha. So yes, tattoos hurt, but i think it's definitely worth it.

I dont know for sure, but my tattoo has thin black lines on it and it is starting to look pretty faded. I am either going to have to get the lines redone or get it filled in places. I have had it for about 2 years if that helps and I tan a lot...in the sun and the tanning bed and that is supposed to make them fade quicker and I heard that if there is too much black that tanning beds can make it turn a greenish color.
