how to make a cute messy bun with thick straight hair?

i looooove messy buns that girls have with their wavy hair but mines really thick and straight (with layers) and i havent been able to make it look the same. any ideas?

when you're putting in a pony tail, don't pull the hair all the way thru. then do it again till the elastic is used up

take your hair in your hands like u were gonna put it in a ponytal and start twisting it around in your hands and when it rolls around into a bun leaving out the ends take some chopsticks and stick down in the middle of it and u will havea cute sassy bun
