I am trying to repair a crack on a figurine that contains a straw hat and in order to blend it in, I need a good color for the straw hat but I dont want to ruin it by using the wrong color. What is the best recommendations for mixture of colors? Thanks.

The straw is almost a lighter brown, so I think the beige and tan thing works good.

Well straw has a touch of yellow in it. You could try yellow ochre & brown then lighten it with white. Straw isn't just beige or tan it's a little warmer, like a golden colour. You can practice on a bit of canvas or paper to get the right colour before you paint on the figurine. I've painted in cracks on sculptures before & it's very hard to spot.

Good luck! Trial & error is better than any answer you'll get here since we can't see the exact colour anyway.

Mix beige and tan. Paint a test dummy with it and when it is dry, compare it to the straw hat. If it is too light or dark, add the necessary color.

tan and brown perhaps? depending on how brown it is. id suggest mixing some browns up and putting it on paper, then set the paper beside the figurine.
