i beleive it was ninjitsu, some tae kwon do, also some of the styles of Bruce Lee used to do. perhaps some ninja kung fu.

Several styles of Martial arts were used, Karate and Kung fu and there is a difference between Karate and Kung Fu,also used were special effects. By the way the translation of Kung fu from Chinese to English is "HARD WORK"

The present day term for it is, "Wire Fu." It was choreograghed by Yuen Wo Ping, with basic moves coming from different disciplines.

kk... if u watch the first movie u see that they learn like 20 diffrent martial arts... and secondly... they prabably didint use any 1 spacific type... or even kung fu... just wires stunts and sum john wu like guy

It wasn't ninjutsu, that's for sure. Ninjutsu really doesn't do much onscreen.
As for the movie, I would imagine it was a generalized, flashy movie coreography style. It's probably not even a specific type, since the purpose is appearance and not skil.

Yeh to me it seemed a lot of Tae Kwon Do and Karate strikes. Ninjitsu or bujinkan seems more fluid and has very quick subtle moves.
